Are you searching for a unique piece of jewelry for yourself or for someone special? I am Torbjörn Grönlund owner of T Grönlund, goldsmith and jewelry designer and I would like to explain about the process of having a unique piece of jewelry custom made.
Contact and consultation
Contact me via e-mail and let me know what you are looking for and if you have any special requests. I can either consult you personally in our workshop in Berlin, but if you aren’t local we can chat remotely via email, phone or video call. During the consultation we will discuss about your ideas and plan how we can realize them the best way possible. At this stage, we will also talk about your budget and how different materials and designs can affect the cost of the project. Design
If you decide to go forward, I will begin designing your project. In some cases it is useful to sketching some ideas. Some unique pieces need more thought and sketching, while other are quite straightforward. After this most projects will continue to the CAD phase and the model will be made in a 3d software. You will have the opportunity to review the model though realistic renders and from here changes can quite easily be made.
Making your jewelry
Once you have accepted the design, I will start making your jewelry. Some jewelry will be made in wax and casted and some will be made by hand from start to finish. Each piece is designed and crafted with diligence and prioritizing the longevity of the jewelry. The manufacturing usually takes from 3 – 7 weeks. By request you can be kept posted with pictures from each stage of the manufacturing process.
Pick up and Shipping
You will be informed once your piece of jewelry has been finished and it will be nicely packed for you. You can either choose to pick it up from our workshop or have it shipped to you. Parcels can be sent worldwide via UPS.
